Fabulous dinner this evening at Relish where I had excellent and helpful service from a lovely waitress who took great care of me. Though it started with the hostess who brought me to a great booth in one of the back dining rooms and I was back against the wall. Perfect and exactly what I wanted.
I started with the Brussels sprouts and was given a spoon. Why a spoon? Because these aren’t the whole sprout. They’ve peeled them and you’re eating just the leaves that have been toasted and tossed in their fry dust. It’s like eating air. Delicious! I ate ALL OF THEM.
And for main course, probably one of the prettiest Cobb salads I’ve seen. Perfectly deconstructed as it’s supposed to be with a boiled egg, chicken breast, bacon, avocado, blue cheese crumbles and diced tomato with a big pot of blue cheese dressing. Another entry in the clean plate club, it was also delicious.
A fantastic meal and I would definitely eat here again. Relish is definite “first date” material.
