A find thanks to the wonderful Atlas Obscura and now I now about this neat monument. This 50 foot tall marker weighs over 100,000 pounds. Half obelisk and half pyramid, it is built from donated concrete and donated rocks and fossils and plaques from every state in the Union (which when it was built, only had 48) and several foreign countries.
It’s neat to look at and you’ll want to find your own state on there. Tourist attraction for sure, but it’s one of those roadside things that we have here in America so enjoy it!
