Candlewood Suites Austin-South, Austin, TX (12-10-2018)

Four nights here and it was a good experience. This isn’t fancy. It’s definitely inexpensive. The highlights were that the room was clean and comfortable and ready for an extended stay.

I was not upgraded as I do not have status with IHG, but I booked and received a room with a king-sized bed. Almost a studio apartment, there is a decent sized kitchenette with a stove top and cabinets with pots and pans and cookery. A full-sized refrigerator.

The bed was firm and comfortable, there is also a recliner that faces the mounted flat panel television. Work desk and a space that could be a dining area. Plenty of power outlets and lots of storage drawers plus closet.

Bathroom is large and features a curved shower curtain rail. Lots of hot water at a good pressure.

I’d say that my only complaint is that there was some noise from the hallway. This was likely because my room was near to the fitness room and the “pantry” so there was some traffic. A pair of earplugs and I heard nothing, especially at night.

Location is right at the intersection with I-35 so it’s busy and you will need to make sure that you leave nothing in sight in your parked car.
