A surface level station for the B Branch of Boston’s Green Line MBTA, Boston University East is one of the three stations that serve the BU community. The station has a minimal amount of cover from rain but it’s not much. You’re going to be experiencing the weather here for sure. At least there is a decent barrier from the traffic of the very busy Comm Ave.
This station does not have an audible or visual announcement of the next train. It has some handicapped access with a portable ramp for wheelchairs to access the higher platforms of the Green Line trains. There are no ticket machines or turnstiles here.
If you are disembarking here, you will need to press the “stop request button.” If you are boarding, you will need to do so at the front door next to the driver so that you can provide payment.
Boston University East is between Boston University Central (outbound) and Blandford Street (inbound).
