The central train station for Porto, it’s a tourist destination even without the trains. The station is simply beautiful and the outer lobby area is well decorated with the tiled walls describing the history of Portugal including the Battle of Valdevez (1140), the 12th Century siege of Guimarães, King John I and Philippa of Lancaster to celebrate their wedding day and that’s as much as I can recall being pointed out.
The station is also connected to the Porto metro on line D, between Jardim do Morro and Aliados.
